"Funny how few people know about that "nuance." I certainly didn't.

To me, the more important point is not the exact number, but the very large civilian casualty. It doesn't convince me at all that this is a path to our security (forget for the moment that killing these many civilians of a country that did not even attack us is moral or not). We have very complex and confusing vision of freedom in the middle east. But all I foresee is a generation of young people hating us for what we did to them and can push a lot of moderates to take up arms against us.

I hope we have fair election real soon and hand the power to whoever wins the election and leave Iraq (or stay only if a fairly elected leader insist we stay).

Bum.
