What Iraq are you talking about? You seem to have little knowledge of the Iraq under Saddam.

Iraq had a brutal dictator.

Iraq had the desire and the means to create and use WMDs.

Iraq had supported, inspired and harbored terrorists.

Was Saddam a brutal Dictator? Yes. Saddam was responsible for the deaths of about 3,000,000 people. Is there any other national leader currently in power, responsible for as many deaths?

Did Saddam harbor terrorists? Yes, in fact a several terrorist organizations had their headquarters in Iraq.

Were any of the terrorists that Saddam harbored kill Americans? Yes.

Did Saddam's government communicate, and work with al Qaeda, or its affiliates? Yes.

Did Saddam's government help plan or carry out the 9-11 Attack? There is no proof of that.

Was there proof that Iraq was involved in exporting WMD technology to al Qaeda? Enough that President Clinton attacked the al Shifa plant with cruise missiles (an act that Richard Clarke and Secretary Cohen defend to this day - even with what they know now).

Does Iraq have the second largest oil reserves in the world? No, Canada does.

re: "There are brutal dictators in the world, there are countries with WMDs, there are countries harboring terrorosts. None of these are Iraq. What makes Iraq of interest is the second largest known oil reserves, all there for the taking."
