Trouble was those 12 year olds were part of the Hitler Youth Division. They were damn tough. We were still having encounters with them in 1955 and 56 when I was there. Fairly heavy combat still went on until 1948, three years after the war "ended". We had the same thing in Europe that is now going on in Iraq. Our terrorists called themselves the "Werewolves". Information on them has remained classified until just recently. They were funded with assets stolen from the Jews. A lot of the werewolves ended up in the middle east teaching arabs how to make bombs. Germany was just like Iraq with weapons and ammunition laying all over the place. I was stationed in Nurnberg where the war trials were held. We had problems with "terrorists" all the time I was there. Believe me, this thing in Iraq will go on for awhile. It will continue until the Iraqi people rise up and stop it. That is what happened in Germany. I rented an apartment from a former SS officer. Every time he would get drunk, he would tell me how great it was when Hitler was in power. The Germans hated us and we returned their affection. When the sun went down, trouble started.
