Referring to previous media leaks regarding personnel, he said that if anything in the newly appointed executive director's personnel file made it into the media, the counterintelligence official "would be held responsible," according to one agency official and two former colleagues with knowledge of the conversation.

And after telling them this, they immediately called Pincus and leaked this story! Hell, fire em all. These people are out of control.

"Everyone is waiting for the centipede to drop all his shoes."

Translation: everyone was waiting to see whether Bush or Kerry won the election. Bush won, time for some to move on.

People who work for the CIA are such drama queens.

For example, whatever happened to Plamegate?

Yesterday, the agency official who oversees foreign operations, Deputy Director of Operations Stephen R. Kappes, tendered his resignation after a confrontation with Murray. Goss and the White House pleaded with Kappes to reconsider and he agreed to delay his decision until Monday, the officials said.

I don't believe the white house part.

The biggest mistake folks in a large org make is to believe their resignation will leave an unfillable hole. For some the ultimate ego trip is to resign over a dispute. Those folks fade into unknown obscurity as fast as they empty their desk.

A little shake-up, if accompanied by introspection, never hurt a large org.

Lots of experienced folks will be happy to fill the holes and accept the pay raise.
