My point is that the IRS keeps statistics on this, and Americans do give a lot in cash and in kind.

I agree that some Americans are generous with time and cash. I post examples of that regularly. There were several examples in the post you responded to.

And I accept your post that 90% of the members of some American ethnic groups take a charity deduction on their tax returns. (I am, however, cynical enough to wonder exactly what that means.)

The constant barrage of Kerry whines and whiners finally wore me out yesterday. I developed an attitude early and kept it all day. Imagine that.
