if gymnastics is that dangerous.

The girl was on the "late, late," last night cartwheeling across the stage.

I wonder how I survived school playing tackle football and such if gymnastics is that dangerous.

I would imagine that walking on one's hands or doing back flips unsupervised on a macadam playground is at least as dangerous than playing supervised football in padding on grass. Gymnastics requires at least a mat and a spotter for minimal safety.

I think the issue in this story is only partly whether the rule is appropriate or not. The other part is disobedience given that the girl was warned many times to cut it out.

<<if gymnastics is that dangerous.>>

The only gymnastics I was involved in was when I joined the Girls Athletic Association. They needed two guys to catch the girls who were doing the gymnastics. Neat gig for a high school boy.
