Sometimes I'm too brief in my posts. As I mentioned once before, we can read the press releases for order flow.

Furthermore, the cost cutting plan should drive earnings based on annual revenue of at least $10 billion.

To be accurate, they are assigning a 25% chance the restatement goes beyond March 2005, at which time they are pretty much certain the NYSE would proceed to delist NT. Your wording could be misunderstood.

You are correct about the bonds. While I plan to hold through this whole process, I will not consider adding until I get some clarity on the need to restate 1999 and 2000, which would probably result in a delisting. If that were to happen, I would look at it as an opportunity, because I think we would see low-mid $2's. If evidence surfaces that contracts are being lost due to this mess, then all bets are off, I might even eat the loss.

Interesting point on the bonds by robgera.

As for your point on "eating the loss", I'm pretty damn full and I couldn't eat another bite without exploding. However, I might as well get some exlax ready just in case.

Nortel is adding a revenue adjustment of $450 million to the year 2003 per the last status update. Furthermore, Nortel expects to grow revenue in the low single digits this year based on a higher year 2003. Considering Nortel's forecast is being made now, in the middle of November, I expect a seasonally strong fourth quarter.
