Regarding the aurora borealis you posted about, we could see it from here. Amazing. I can think of only two times we've seen it this far south.

This time didn't have as much of a curtain to it as one did about five years ago that we could see, but it was still amazing. Saw some red colors oscillating a bit east of north with the remainder of the sky all the way to the west was white. The one we saw about 5 years ago had a full red curtain across north from about 300 degrees to 35 degrees and well above the horizon.
