Aren't Americans ever so lucky to have such a cheap labour pool available to help lower inflation in the US, reduce costs of goods and, in general, help maintain the high standard of living of Americans! The Chinese government wants their workers to continue to work at below market rats. Too rapid change in economic status would increase the rate of desired future change. The time will come when the government will allow their workers to receive full value for their work. By then, America will already be a second class country. In the mean time, enjoy the extra standard of living being given to you by the Chinese government.
