Just as we need to keep perspective on how much risk there is to individuals from terrorists, so do we need to keep perspective on polemicists. You can't validly generalize from the loudest and ugliest voices.

Fear motivates me to emigrate, not logic. I hope this does not deepen your fears, but rather so that you could see that you are not alone in the way you feel. To be frank, I am quite amazed at the number of people considering leaving this country. Just today, some friends told me they are thinking about emigrating.........they had just gotten married and were planning to have kids. Now they are thinking of delaying that act and setting up in another country.......probably Spain. As scary as this article is, this kind of concern expressed by many people has me more worried. If it was just me, I could attribute it to paranoia. However, there are too many people feeling the same way for it to be only my paranoia.
