Hi Sam,

Traditional investment schemes, the inverted pyramid, call for allocating some money to higher risk, higher reward vehicles, so your idea is mainstream.

I don't follow GGNS.

I don't think past cyclical behavior is as reliable a predictor as it has been.

I am planning to add to my holdings of AMAT, KLAC, and NVLS in the next 1 to 6 months as CDs mature.

Cary

Sam, I just wanted to make sure you were aware that GGNS has
been in a buyout situation with a German company (Aixtron) for
some time now. .51 Aixtron shares to GGNS holders. Aixtron
is traded in Euros so you also need to adjust for that
(about $1.29). Aixtron shareholders have approved the deal,
but were subsequently sued. Actually Aixtron is probably the
better company anyway, and if you want to speculate on the
deal going through, GGNS is a discounted way of getting into Aixtron.

Regards, Eric.

Hello Sam,

I was doing a scan and came across, AEIS. Company name is Advanced Energy, upon looking, I see it's a Semi-Equip.

It's news hasn't been good, lowering outlook in September and again in October for Q4. However, if the SOX is turning back up, this should follow similar to your theory. Last time, it went from 8 to 30, and it's back in the 8 ballpark now. Though, it's not as small and has some decent volume.
