Just look at the tactics the "insurgents" are using ... killing anyone who cooperates with the US or the provisional authority. Its the same tactics used by the Viet Cong to intimidate and punish collaboraters.

Of course, if a smaller weaker force is trying to battle a larger more well equipped force trying to bring stability, I suppose there are only so many tactics that can be employed.

Destabilize, demoralize...

Ugh.

Maybe Zoloft and Paxil should be distributed to *everyone* in both Iraq and the US?

Osama works on his own timetable they say. His pattern seems to be always trying to trump his previous attack.
Bush decided not to kill him when he had the chance.
If Bin Laden hits us again what will George say about his choice to skip Osama and go to Iraq?
It looks to me like many of the Presidents Men are exiting before the facts come out.
Tenet left skid marks. Ashcroft wants to be away from what is coming. Colin may wait a few months, but he's outta here.
Paige resigned.
This can of worms, as one poster quotes, cannot be put back into the can. Not enough room.
I'll take 12 scalps for breakfast. They're toast-de-licious.

Pat,

Re: Did you see 60 minutes tonight about Usama Bin ladin and the ex CIA agent?

I watched that segment in disbelief. Michael Scheuer is clearly a disinformation agent. What he said was rabid, and completely one-sided. He seemed remarkably incurious about the long business relationship between the Bush Family and the Bin Ladens. He seemed totally incurious about the fact that the CIA hired Osama Bin Laden to develop underground facilities in Afghanistan in the 1980s. He seemed incurious about the fact that the first government to put out an Interpol warrant on Bin Laden was Libya while the CIA and MI6 were still coddling Bin Laden.

In short, the 60 Minutes segment was garbage. Propaganda. It was designed to infuriate and terrorize a naive and ignorant American public.

I was appalled that CBS would stoop so low.
