And I wouldn't ban laura bush either
Then how can you hold out vulgarity as a reason for banning? SHe is the most extreme case I've seen in that regard.

Emile Vidrine is about the most extreme I've ever seen but he self defines himself and serves as an constant reminder of some of the worst kind of people who live in this world. I ignore him but wouldn't ban him. I agree he would really require some patience on the part of the moderator.
I would much like it if Dave would do the banning of him. Permanently. He has served as the nucleus of a small group of anti-Semites on SI. I've gone many, many rounds with him. I'm tired. If anyone else wants to take the fight with him, I have interesting material for them.

There used to be an anti-Muslim bigot much like him on SI. Do you remember who he was?

Mktbuz should recognize that the large number of posts to his thread do not come because of him, they come because folks have made debating and discussion acquaintances there and know where to find them when they feel like talking. And the subjects cover a helluva lot more than Geo. W. Bush.
Oh, I suspect he does know that. OTOH, you should recognize that that thread at times has attracted some of the most objectionable and bigoted people on SI.
