I think living in the present supports clearing the air briefly, and perhaps E and Coug could do that if they feel it is appropriate, privately if they would like, so we can all move on. One of the many problems with all of this is that while it is healthy to try to clean things up, there are a lot of bored/nosy/antagonistic/opinionated people here who will jump in to almost any disagreement. That is great if you're talking about some interesting issue and everyone can stay reasonably polite and not stoop to personal insults, but certainly that utopian ideal does not reflect what usually happens at SI.
