You are right! Richnorth was out of the country.

Don't forget that Alex Beam is a journalist and as part and parcel of his existence he has to write articles that help his boss to sell newspapers & etc. So, he wrote that provocative and sensational piece regarding the pitfalls that await those disgruntled Americans who intend to emigrate to Canada. But I find that he was generally out to lunch in his perceptions. To be charitable, one might say he was misinformed or not quite up to snuff.

Alex Beam should have read Gwynne Dyer's article before writing his piece. That he apparently hadn't done so suggests to me that he deliberately chose to be provocative and sensational despite the truth..........................
