When I moved here 20 years ago, my neighbor was going broke in the construction business. Got in with the local pols. Now he's worth $30 million and paying $36k a month in alimony after an up front $5 million give to her. Local has worked for him. Ritchie Daley could be governor any day he wants. He'll die as mayor of Chicago.

That is exactly the same kind of reasoning that Democrats use to prove that all businessmen are corrupt, and all successful businessmen are essentially criminal. It assumes that someone of no character is likely to succeed merely through cheating, and it assumes that cheaters are likely to get away with it.
