I disagree. I believe they are a threat, and spending about 1% of total defense dollars to counter that threat is money well spent.

BMD is defensive only - by definition, and I agree with it.

I disagree. There could be radical elements somewhere who do not care if they are completely destroyed by US retaliation if they lob some nuclear tipped missiles our way.
To have zero defense against such a real possibility would be grossly irresponsible IMHO.
