Sioux, First of all, thanks for opening up the thread. elpolvo said we could come over here if we behaved ourselves. Now that Colin Powell has resigned, there is no one in Bush's cabinet that has heard a live round zinging by their ear. For a "war time" President, that's mind boggling. Looking back, there is no difference between Fallujah and Hue...these guys are kidding themselves..this is classic shoot and scoot insurgency. We are not set up for it and every day we put our guys at risk. the Demos need a VERY clear message that we support our troops and want to get them the hell out of there by June. I realize setting a date is loaded with dangerous problems...but so is sitting on our hands and drifting along thinking a "free election" will solve it. I would do three things: 1. Get Osama... focus on that one and finish. 2. Pull out of Iraq 3. Get serious about Israel and Palestine..put a coalition together that has some credibility with both sides, understands the history, and one that is willing to try something innovative. Altair19
