This so-called 'war on terrorism' is likely to be a very L-O-N-G war (if 'ending all terrorism' is truly the end game). Consequently, as a Super Power, our own actions are likely to be a bigger determinant of final victory then anything any group of non-state-actors is likely to be able to throw at us. "Simple judgement calls like shooting a person that appears to be a trap falls way short of torture and decapitation." Since I never made any such comparison, I have no comment...
