I like Condie as the selectee because she knows the entire team's game plan.
She helped devise both the offense and defense.
She is uniquely qualified to present the diplomatic case.

And Condie has a bit of sneaky, tricky and dirty about her. She does not take any BS; she doesn't want any BS; she is not in the BS business.
And she ain't afraid to tell you that...even when the cameras are rolling.

Powell was a wonderful mediator. Condie will kick butt.

We are at war. It is going to be a long one. We need for Dept of State to start kicking butt to support the troop action.

We need to clean out the hangers-on for full retirement at the CIA too. We need CIA leaders who can accept missions and say, "Can do sir, send me." And then go do.

It is way past time to stop making excuses and pointing fingers at Langley. They must agree to perform AND perform or leave.

This is the housecleaning Tenat should have done but refused to do three years ago. It must happen.

I just hope that Condie is strong enough for the job.

I have my doubts. She got where she is on contacts, not record. She impressed Bush early, and became his best bud. I think the media was dying to make something of the relationship, but never had any grounds. I don't think she did a strong job as NSC director.
