But one really has to question the judgment of anyone, even a near-teenager, who would be so stupid.

Stupid is driving drunk, incorrect spelling and smoking in bed. Meeting with the representatives of a gruop of people that Kerry probably thought were being unjustly and imorally blown up by a US bombing/pacification campaign which, in his mind, was completely wrong, isn't stupid.

It is a thin line between this "protest" and "providing aid and comfort to the enemy".

Correct, but as I've said earlier the definition of treason as posted a few weeks ago appears unreasonable broad. It is probably extremely broad in order to give the US government leeway to apply penalties for treason whenever the US government sees fit to do so. In Kerry's case, they didn't apply treason's penalties on him for meeting the VC in Paris in 1970, so that should be the end of the discussion right there.

But I think Baghdad Jim's visit was tantamount to treason

Hmmm. Hate to say it, but who is Bagdhad Jim?

Anyway, Kerry is last month's news, so lets move on.
