GWB should have dumped him at the outset. He was briefing GWB daily, and he liked him. Loyalty. The guy that should have been shown the door on 9/12/01 was the DOT Secretary, Norman Mineta, who kept the airlines from profiling, and still won't let them do it. Our last line of defense failed on 911 because of Mineta. I think those 19 hijackers would have been stopped if we had been actively profiling at the time. The motto then might as well have been, "Now preboarding Muslim terrorists!" We will never know now.
