I absolutely agree. Afghanistan was justified, since we were attacked on 9-11 from forces in that country. I think we should have gone in much harder, cleaned them out, killed Bin Laden, and got out in under a year - preferably 6 months.

Iraq was not justified IMHO, and has hurt the US more than it has helped us.

Now this is the $64,000 question that leads to all kinds of winding passages, isn't it? I'd love to see a good discussion of this. Of course not everything is about oil, other industries and campaign contributors have a say too.
