Yes, I'd say a regular non-French-cuff shirt would be fine with a tux, given the fact that men on the west coast are now wearing their shirts untucked with jackets. Did you perhaps take the original shirt to the cleaner for professional laundering? I didn't know that T and C had been together for 25 years! Amazing. I admire that kind of love in any couple, but particularly in a gay male couple, given all the judgementalism they face.
