I just drove back from across town. Listening to ABC Radio they announced that the military is investigating whether or not the Marine fired in self-defense. That is absolutely pure BULLSHIT!!! ABC is setting us up. Self defense is not a requirement in battle. It is not even a consideration. Do they think pilots dropping bombs from 30,000 feet, cruise missiles fired from ships 2,000 miles away or artillery firing from 25 kilometers away are self-defending? The mission of the US Infantry is to "Close With, Kill, And Destroy The Enemy". There is no self-defense requirement stated or inferred in that mission statement. WTF is wrong with these bozos in the press?
