Hugh Grant is NOT a girlie-man to most women. He is about the only actor that all the women (and young girls, actually) who I know agree on as being really cute.

Anyway, I think people who talk about others being girlie-men are way over-compensating for something they lack in themselves. I'm thinking of our new California governator here, who much be compensating for quite a lot.

If you saw him in Love Actually you could tell that he can really act. Unfortunately, most of the roles he gets don't require much effort, and he has said he is very bored and would like to retire.

I'm sorry--when I said that Hugh Grant could be a good actor and suggested that he did well in Love Actually, I was wrong.

It was About A Boy, which is a very good movie no matter what your feelings are about Hugh Grant. And he was excellent in it.
