You are of course entitled to your opinion. I personally consider most of the defense spending as mostly a waste of money and such systems as a total and complete waste of money (because they just don't work). I think if 5% of the defense budget was spent to create hospitals, schools, and credit unions around the world, the good will generated would contribute a lot more to our safety than the solutions from the outer space.
