Rudi! Why didn't they anesthetize you? They are supposed to!
Do go back and have it done the proper way.

I went forward and read the replies to your post.

I think they just have to sedate you beyond what a normal person your age and weight need. If they have to keep you overnight.......that's just too bad. Someone has to fill those beds.

Believe me..........you don't want to die of colon cancer. It's ugly and very painful. You don't even know the meaning of pain until you've seen someone you love endure the ravages of this disease. I think the pain of a colonoscopy is minuscule in comparison to what you experienced the first time around.

Get yourself an experienced proctologist. Have all your records transfered and get that procedure.......please.

You have to follow up with the colonoscopy. Please. If you don't feel comfortable with you current doctor, find another. My mother had a colonoscopy about six or seven years ago and was misdiagnosed by her doctor. He operated and the problem persisted. Against her wishes and begging, we forcibly took her to a different doctor who performed another colonoscopy and discovered a cancerous growth the size of a grapefruit. Luckily, it was encapsulated and she has not had a problem since it was removed. Please go.

As for the odd shaped colon, my guess is that it bends to the right.
