The wiser strategy is for business owners to raise the salaries somewhat, and then plenty of quality workers who are long-time citizens will take the jobs. Illegals take those slave-wage jobs because they don't qualify for welfare. When employers expect to pay dirt cheap wages in order to pocket exorbitant profit, taxpayers ultimately pick up the tab of providing services for the impoverished illegals. WalMart has the most outrageous policy as the nation's largest employer with low wages & weak benefits. Those ignorant & arrogant Arkansas executives tell their employees that they can take advantage of government programs like child inoculations for low-income families, instead of providing decent medical coverage for their staff. That is indeed an example of the race to the bottom. Sam Walton would not be proud of the way his company has been turned into a 3rd world retail operation.
