This part of your post seems to not about the subject X is discussing, homosexuality, but sort of a veiled personal attack on X, and an attempt perhaps to rehash ancient uglinesses.

While everyone is welcome to fiercely debate ideas or beliefs, personal attacks and snide comments are no longer welcome at Feelings.

I used the term "queer" in reference to "gay" a few years ago and there was a major meltdown by a few people on SI even after I pointed out that queer is perfectly acceptable by all in that particular community of those types of people.

Have you seen this?
