CMPD .29/.32:

6mo chart confirms breakout-top tick this past week was .40 off initial run from PR w/SourceOne-largest medical distributor in the US:

Posted this over on RB:

it stands to reason that as the awareness of osteoporosis and it's danger rise more people will be asking their doctors about it. The doctors will have to have something in house to test their patients-it would be a profit center for the docs so you can bet they will get it. Patients will demand this test as osteoporosis can be at worst lethal, and at least debilitating leading to poor quality of life. Demographics both here and worldwide put the pool at about 1 billion people 50 and over and it is growing every day. China is ga ga about osteoporosis and CMPD is already on the ground there moving units and they are setting up distributors in various geographic areas of the world.

All the big drug/bios know there is a TON on money to be made testing 1 billion people and as yet it is an almost virgin niche. AND, they have to be retested probably every 5 years or sooner. With the amount of money at stake here CMPD or some other player-maybe Hologic, is looking at an almost unbelieveable upside. CMPD has re tooled the second generation Osteogram into digital DICOM format so it can interface with medical equipment already on hand in most medical clinics, offices.

I think you are right that before CMPD can really get this thing rolling-and having signed the largest medical distributor in the US last week it looks like they are ready to roll--some larger outfit will take them and their patents out. CMPD also has in house a similar 'Gram' for arthritis that has been on the back burner.

At .30/.35 where is the downside? The ECG business is growing and they are almost break even profit wise. People who know the company have been waiting since the initial patent grant to get this thing rolling. CEO who came in a couple of years ago told me he was drop down dead serious about moving the OsteoGram into the mainstream. It is starting to happen. Big bucks at stake here for somebody

Smith-Midland Corporation Announces Results for the Quarter Ended September 30, 2004 with Revenues of $5,686,567 and a Net Income for the Quarter Totaling $273,306
Monday November 15, 5:50 pm ET

MIDLAND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 2004--Smith-Midland Corporation (OTCBB: SMID - News; Boston Stock Exchange: SMID) announced the company reported total revenue of $5,686,567 for the quarter ended September 30, 2004, compared to total revenue of $4,579,142 for the same period of 2003, an increase of $1,107,425, or 24%. Net income was $273,306 for the quarter ended September 30, 2004, compared to a net loss of $195,020 for the same period of 2003, an improvement of $468,326.
The company reported total revenues of $16,348,935 for the nine months ended September 30, 2004, compared to total revenue of $14,344,646 for the same period of 2003, an increase of $2,004,289, or 14%. Net income was $657,100 for the nine months ended September 30, 2004, compared to a net loss of $297,465 for the same period of 2003, which is an improvement of $954,565.

The increased net income was primarily the result of extra emphasis from management to improve efficiencies and control expenses across all areas of the company. The successful temporary installation of approximately 8,000 linear feet of security barrier for the Republican National Convention in New York City also contributed to the increase. In addition, the one-time effect of the settlement of the Bradley Hall Project case, during the second quarter 2004, accounted for $295,478 of the increase for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2004, which was recorded as a reduction to cost of goods sold.

Improved economic conditions resulted in increased sales of the Company's newer, innovative products such as Slenderwall(TM), Easi-Set buildings, as well as, architectural and Soundwall products. Royalty income was also up due to the addition of two new Easi-Set licensees, added in 2004, and increased volume reported by existing licensees.

Smith-Midland develops, manufactures, licenses and sells a broad array of precast concrete products for use primarily in the construction, transportation and utilities industries. Smith-Midland has two manufacturing facilities located in Midland, VA, and Reidsville, NC. Easi-Set Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of Smith-Midland Corporation, licenses Smith-Midland developed products throughout North America, Europe and South America. Easi-Set Industries currently has 30 precast concrete product licensees worldwide.

US Department of Homeland Security to Implement Bioscrypt Technology as Reference Biometric for Transportation Worker Identification Card Prototype Program
Tuesday January 11, 7:00 am ET

Transportation Security Administration Licenses Bioscrypt Core and Purchases MV 1200 Modules for User Verification
TORONTO, Jan. 11 /CNW/ - Bioscrypt Inc. (TSX: BYT - News), a leading provider of identity verification technology, announced today that BearingPoint, Inc. has selected software and hardware offerings from Bioscrypt for use in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Prototype Phase of the Transportation Worker Identification Credential Program (TWIC).
The $12 million program awarded to BearingPoint in August is expected to last 11 months, involving some 200,000 transportation workers in three regions and 40 sites including: Camden, N.J., Islip, N.Y., Philadelphia and Wilmington, Del.; the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, Calif.; and the 14 major port facilities in Florida.

The goal of the program is to improve security, enhance commerce and protect personal privacy by establishing a system-wide common credential used across all transportation modes for all personnel requiring unescorted physical and/or logical access to secure areas of the national transportation system.

Bioscrypt's fingerprint verification technology will be used to verify the identities of transportation workers involved in this prototype program. The Transportation Security Administration has previously announced that, following the prototype, its intent is to deploy the TWIC to 6 million transportation workers.

"We applaud the US federal government's commitment to enhancing the security of the nation's transportation facilities using leading-edge technological tools and are extremely proud to be an integral part of the Prototype Phase of the TWIC program," stated Robert L. Williams, President and CEO, Bioscrypt. "Our inclusion in this significant initiative further supports our belief that there is growing demand for Bioscrypt's leading fingerprint verification technology as part of US Government programs."

Bioscrypt Teams with IBM, ActivCard, GE Security, Imageware and Verisign to Deliver Secure Identity Management Solution
Bioscrypt Technology Provides Biometric Verification Functionality to Comprehensive Security Solution
Toronto, ON (October 6, 2004) - Bioscrypt Inc. (TSX: BYT), a leading provider of identity verification technology, announced today that they have partnered with IBM, ActivCard, GE Security, Imageware and Verisign to offer business and government agencies a secure identity management solution.

The new solution extends ID management beyond the current process of establishing a user’s identity using network software, by integrating “physical” identity characteristics established by the emerging technologies of biometrics, smartcards and badge-readers. It is designed to add additional layers of secure authentication into the basic processes that businesses and agencies use in their day-to-day operations. Thus, organizations can simultaneously protect their “logical” assets – data, applications and IT networks – along with their physical assets such as buildings, workplaces and grounds.

Bioscrypt’s award winning fingerprint biometric algorithm provides the essential link to the user by verifying that you are who you say you are, instead of "what you have" or "what you know". By providing biometric verification technology that supports a range of fingerprint sensors and devices, Bioscrypt's technology offers the interoperability that is critical for enterprise deployment. In essence, Bioscrypt’s technology provides ‘glue’ that links together biometric templates used for the authentication of a user across physical and logical access, using a wide range of sensor inputs and template storage databases.

“We are pleased to have partnered with these leading organizations to provide a strategic solution. The solution that is now being offered is a testament to the increasing requirement for innovative security technologies that include biometric technology,” stated Robert Williams, President and CEO, Bioscrypt. “As demand for more secure and accurate identity verification systems increases, Bioscrypt will continue to deliver its award winning technology to market.”
