Why are you so worried about the death toll. These people are sacrificing their lives as a volunteer force to fundamentally change Iraq for the better for generations to come. You don't seem to think risking lives to achieve anything is worth it. Police risk their lives every day in order to provide security, but if police officers are getting killed in the line of duty, maybe people will realize that we shouldn't be risking their lives on the streets. That seems to be your logic here.
