Eventually people like that author will come out of the wood work. I was just musing to myself this morning "why are not more people waking up to the reality" and "how do we get hoodwinked in the first place"? The answer is, I believe, life long indoctrination. Get ahead, earn more, spend more, is a mantra that we all learn -- and in the last 20-30 years, the message has been delivered to us with increasing sophistication. I don't think its a conspiracy nor is wholly intentional - just the by-product of economic conditions in the 20th century and the increasingly rapid throughput of information, ideas not to mention the government support for the economic colonialization of the world which makes all this possible.
