i do not understand what you are saying... Lott supports specter because of what republicans did to him?

Specter stays because the all the other chairman or those next in line do not want to be treated the same way if specter got voted out.. Rather stay with the rules of games. No way does Specter get voter out of his chairmanship. Perhaps he could have gotten thrown out if he took a firm stand against judges but he didn't he back tracked.. Probably was feeling his oats that morning. If he goes into job.. i understand there is no rule to take him out.. so they got him!

These SOBs value "collegiality" over doing their damned jobs. Disgraceful.

Collegiality is part of any Senator's job. It's also part of the job of Secretary of State.
