Tommaso:

Once you have looked down on Mother Earth from the joyful position of the "left seat", and once you have felt the immense satisfaction of nursing your own little set of wings down "final" and felt the main wheels "chirp" as they bracket the runway center-line, you will be hooked as badly as the Wright Brothers were. Sure there is a measured degree of risk, but it pales in comparison with an hour commute into downtown Toronto or Chicago and your perspective on life will never be the same thereafter. Get at it!!

For this aging jock, it provides the same remarkable adrenalin surge that he recalls from streaking down left wing, and carving in on goal with an off-balance defenseman draped over a shoulder and his heavy breathing BEHIND your ear (i.e., he's been "beaten"). And you don't even have to pay a price in stitches across the eyebrows. That delightful wheel "chirp" is every bit as ego-satisfying as was the puck in the back of the net. (g)

Best, Earlie
