Political cartoonists use CARIACATURE so that viewers immediately grasp who the cartoon portrays in its sketch.

Portraying a black person with big lips and whatever other features the subject actually possesses is not IN ITSELF racist. Everyone prominent enough to be in political cartoons can either grin and bear it or get really sensitive, but it is just reality.

I think most people know racism when they see it. The brown sugar and aluminum tube cartoons in particular were racist and also not at all humorous. To suggest that the Democratic party is the party of racists is absurd.
