I guess you haven't yet read the CEO comment about dividends being like an "entitlement" once you start?

Seems to me kinda like stock options being perceived by him as an entitlement.

So $1.3 Billion earnings flowed to the Retained earnings, but there was $500 million of cash flow, additional cash flow, that was syphoned off thru the buyback. But in sum shareholders got no benefit since it all and then some got handed back in stock options.

An other point that was mentioned in the call is that $.02 were the result of a favorable tax ruling and a litigation settlement. Without those two one-time items, they would have missed by a penny.

All in all, a ho-hum report, roughly in-line, but really nasty on the forward guidance.

I expect it to trade down hard tomorrow. Might present a decent trading opportunity, but will definitely do so cautiously.
