I say... 200 years? You SURE, Jacques? (That's pronounced "Jock" for those who don't speak frog, which seems really appropriate.) When you guys "helped" during our Revolution, you were AT WAR WITH BRITAIN YOURSELVES, right? It really was just a stratagem to make more trouble for the British, wasn't it? Or, as some people put it, at Yorktown the Americans did the fighting and dying while the French went for a sail. THEN, not 20 years later, we fought our first undeclared war- -against FRANCE.
