The problem with these "default" car loans is that >60% of them have the money but do not pay. So all bank needs to do is to send someone (maybe a couple of people) to collect. And in case those depositing their money in the bank, the thing will be easier, just froze deduct their loans from their deposit<g>

And many of the rest of defaulters are farmers. Some of them (those who cannot repay), methink, should be forgiven. Why Chinese banks can write off trillions of debt for those rich real estate developers? The bank should do something for the poor farmers.

Although I agree some proper laws should be made.

So it is not as bad as it sounds, like most of cases when the West talks about China's problems<g>
