IBM's new TPC-C benchmark is on a machine with 2 TB of RAM. Disks optional?

Edit: Actually, I see now that they also threw in just over 6400 hard drives.

Second Edit: about 1/4 petabyte of disk for one benchmark, if I have my metric prefixes right.

Charles,

Sun Rays have a lot of advantages over PCs, so I disagree.

What is a Sun Ray, and what would those advantages be?
