That is an excellent point, and one I'm surprised I hadn't thought of myself.
You are right, and when you throw in all the anti-Bush or conservative books, it would seem that all we do is sit around and polute while dreaming up new countries to bomb.

They seem to think our goal is to corrupt their countries wonderful topless beaches with Wal Marts and Mickey Mouse Stores.

Right now one lone Marine is fighting for his honor, while NBC is busy trying to pin a medal on the man who took the picture. Shame on them...and all the rest of the MSM...

It is a term definition problem:
I totally blame the MEDIA for that including this political correctness that requires that we no longer call a SPADE a SPADE. Bush is very likely the most honest, God fearing, well meaning President we have had at least in my lifetime. Yet, what do you read about him? THINK ABOUT IT.

Authoritarian Liberalism* is a more appropriate term. I tend to use AL instead of PC.

*AL - Authoritarian Liberalism - excerpt of quote from Robert Bork (Today's liberalism celebrates the liberation of the individual, but that liberation is only from the traditional culture of the community, and from the laws that reinforce it. The individual is not often liberated from the demands of authoritarian liberalism, sometimes referred to, though inadequately, as "political correctness.")

JDN, I think that the other nations respect us, but not in the way they should. They are jealous of us. Countries like France, and Germany, know that they are no longer major players on the stage of world politics, and it is like a burr under their saddles. They can't stand that an upshot, fairly new, independent, nation has the largest piece of the pie, and could take the whole damned thing, if we wanted to. They are petty in their envy of what we have, and what we can do. The UK would be the same way if it had not been so, positively, motivated by Thatcher, and Blair.

Bush is not, and never has, claimed to be a diplomat. He is a leader that knows the only way to lead is to tell it like it is, and take whatever actions are necessary. Such honesty, and the ability to act, has the liberals of this country scrambling for cover, and making sniper attacks. They can't stand the truth!! The whole concept of their platform is based on lies, and misconceptions. The light of truth is blinding them, and I hope they never get a seeing eye dog to help them out.
