fatwas thundering in after nuclear annihilation and prospects for more of the same? I think that at some point survival gene kicks in. If you are right by the way, the only way to complete the job is to have the stones to kill them all. Now does bin laden want that outcome? I suspect not. The problem is that until Bush we were not credible to him. Now we are and you can see that in retrospect in his desparate attempt to get kerry elected with that conciliatory speech of his. Yes i do believe this stuff, in case you were going to ask. One other thing--you know i am not rooting for nuclear holocaust in any of this--i, like you, am trying to prevent wmds from landing in my back yard. The nuke stuff is "war game" stuff, stuff we discussed much more easily during the cold war. Our inability to dispassionately discuss it now as well as the moral equivalence given to a young marine and folks who behead and disembowel just amazes me. Mike
