Aus,

I seem to remember that you purchased a SanDisk Digital Photo Viewer (SDV-1A), and were somewhat disappointed with the quality of the picture it produced on your TV.

I've just purchased for the purpose of evaluation, a SanDisk Photo Album (SD-V2AA30), SPA for short. It is currently in transit from Circuit City, and I expect to receive it within one or two business days. The resolution will be the same as the Digital Photo Viewer (640 x 480). My plan is to connect it directly to my InFocus X2 projector. It also doubles as a card reader, and connects via USB 2.0 to the PC.

The availability date was set at 9 November 2004 according to the 5 or 6 vendors I checked. So far, only Circuit City has (maybe had) them for sale.
I'll feel good if I see a large display of them at the local Costco.

There is already a firmware upgrade for the unit. I wonder if the firmware is stored on a NOR card or a NAND card.
