Those are good points. That is pretty much how it happened initially. But the openeness to conservative critiques of social policy did, ultimately, move most neocons somewhat Right. So yes, it is exaggerated how far Right most neocons moved, but most moved somewhat Right.

the people didn't change their views but that the progressives pushed the range out so far left that the ruler shifted leaving the delineating lines further left. Which makes it look like the people moved a notch right when the notches actually moved left. Also, the subject became more attractive to folks on the right as they were inspired to engage in an effort to stop the leftward flow.

Thanks. I needed that. It sounds like a new way to count cadence.

I think you are on to something terrific...a new Jodie marching song.
