God Jay, I was looking over the volatility indices tonight and the thought which I couldn't get out of my head was...

"What wall of worry?"

Jay,

This indicator, mentioned here:

Message 20453426

is very reliable and still showing buy signals for NAZ and DOW (not sure what happens if we get a terrorist act or Israle bombs Iran, though).

This indicateor (RIX) shows long waves, for example it may not even flash buy once a year, so this represents a major move. When the RIX flashes buy ittends to last for very long periods of several months.

Buying either the DOW or NAZ on that August recc would have yielded double-digit returns so far.

Maybe I should subscribe?

David

Jay,

Now we have an aftermarket for GLD

finance.yahoo.com

Putting my concerns about confiscation aside, I find this interesting but I read GLD might add 500 tons p.a. in new gold demand from investors.

They started with 230,000 ounces and ended today with 260,000 ounces. (7.15 tons to 8.08 tons)

Considering all the pent up demand (basically this was a US gold IPO)I expacted a bit more.

I wonder how this might affect mining shares?
