I love the bay area and I live in the south,South Bay. We have a condo in a northern Lake Tahoe village and i love that too. I can go to San Francisco or Carmel any day from my home in the Bay area............it's paradise to me!!! Northern Ca is a world away from Southern Ca...........I might add a better world also. Property all over the state is ridiculous in pricing. We have a rustic cabin in the Santa Cruz Mts.......no electricity or phone just a beautiful creek running outside with a swimming hole and the thousands of majestic redwoods. Everything is propane............the dumb thing is valued at over 350k and it's very rustic............20 minutes and 30 degrees cooler than the valley floor...........frankly it's ridiculously priced but that's what it would sell for...........mother nature is at her best right there.
