I have no medical training, just a good inquisitive mind. I've read lots over the past year about the statin drugs. The comments from the FDA's Graham have great credibility with me. The drug companies really like to get positive test results by hook or by crook and get a drug on the market. They then market them unethically to build market share. It would not surprise me that Merck pulled Vioxx because a spy in the FDA told them to.
Crestor is just too strong, works way to effectively in reducing cholesterol but what else does it do. Baycol is a statin that has already been pulled. If statins are a class too then watch out for Lipitor.
I can see the drugs being very restrictive in their use, perhaps 10% of what are currently sold.
I'd believe the FDA's Graham over any drug company executive.
