Under the deal with the three European countries, Tehran agreed to a temporary halt to uranium enrichment in exchange for trade concessions. The pact makes it unlikely that the IAEA will refer Iran to the U.N. Security Council for action, as the U.S. has advocated. >>> Whenever something happens, we may a well picture it as happening for the best as the deed is already done. Itr was best for the country that the Dems lost, as Kerry would have accomplished little with a minority in both houses. And the Dems should have learned they were badly out of touch with average voters and now can correct course. Here Colin Powell , and no truer American exists, has commented on Irans nuclear ambitions and some have disagreed with him about those statementst. There is no question that engineers in Iran are trying to fit nuclear warheads to missiles, even if they dont have the actual warhead yet. Why bother with 500 lbs of conventional explosives when you can put the equivalent of 20 billion lbs of explosives (10 megatons)on the same missile.? Powell is sayiug we know more about the Iranian plans than some expect. And if Iran is thinking of hiding behind some UN talk or inadequate inspection program , as Saddam tried to do, we will be aware of it and Iran should fear some unilateral response. It is not safe to have have foreign nations underating us, feeling free to develop WMD's in secret. Better to have them think we know more than we actually do. Some people , a blessed minority in the US, feel its best that the US tiger restrain from showing its teeth, to be more accommodating to terrorist nations lest we anger and incite their terrorists to attack us. I dont belong to that crowd Spain has taken the route of appeasment but when terrorists attack they dont care who is in the crowd when the bomb goes off. What nationalities, what age, what occupation. Sig
