It was my understanding that Canadian securities can be purchased in an RRSP regardless of the currency in which they trade. Could you let us know what reasons they gave for refusing you ?

FWIW I just checked with TD re EPM.U. They said "Canadian content and RRSP eligible".

That is strange. I have had ANO.U in my RRSP for at least two years, and I bought more just two days ago. The last two weeks I have been buying EPM.U warrants, also in my RRSP. There must be some other reason (broker-related?) if you couldn't buy it in your RRSP. Who is your broker? I use BMO Investorline.
