There is no such thing as a surplus because there is no distinction made between SS taxes and income taxes. You're so called SS Surplus is just another name for a tax that puts money into the General Fund. It all goes into the General Fund and the General Fund pays out more than it takes in in taxes.

Mandatory spending programs encompass HUNDREDS of programs, not just SS. These programs AS A WHOLE DO NOT TAKE IN MORE TAXES THAN THEY PAY OUT PERIOD END OF STORY.

SS doesn't run a surplus. It is 100 percent deficit spending. There never was an account and people like you perpetuate the lie.
